Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):
The Nursing Assistant program contents follow the California State approved CNA curriculum. Our Accelerated program is designed to teach Students the basic nursing skills and knowledge necessary for resident / patient care in Long Term Care facilities and other Healthcare settings.
Upon completion of the program, the Student meets California requirements and is eligible to take the State Certification Exam for CNAs. PHEC is a State approved Testing Site and is also offering Comprehensive Review classes prior to the State Exam date. Review classes are also available to non-students for a fee. (Call to inquire)
Note: The CNA certification can also be used to gain points to get into the Nursing Program.
Home Health Adie (HHA):
The Home Health Aide program is built upon the knowledge, skills and abilities that individuals possess as Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA), and is designed to prepare CNA’s for certification as a Home Health Aide. The curriculum is structured to provide theory and practical application of knowledge and skill to function as a Home Health Aide.
Upon completion of the required hours, the Student will gain a HHA certification (CHHA), and this will allow the Home Health Aide to function as an entry-level worker on a Health care team in a Home Health agency.
Restorative Nurse Assistant (RNA):
The Restorative Nursing Assistant program is another expanded role for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA). Theory and practical application of restorative techniques in therapeutic rehabilitation will be taught in the curriculum, that will provide CNAs the knowledge and skills to advance their career in long term care.
Upon completion of the required hours, the Student will gain a RNA certification (CRNA), and this will allow the Restorative Nurse Assistant to function as an entry-level worker as prescribed and supervised by a licensed personnel, in a Healthcare facility.
